Blog / Production Stories / Large Sensor Cinematography Sea Dragon shot with Sumire Primes Large Sensor Cinematography Who loves a peek behind the scenes? We caught up with Clemens Majunke, DP on the short film Sea Dragon directed by James Morgan Photography, to find out more about his must-have kit on the production: “Working with kids and very low candlelight, we needed lenses that would perform well in all circumstances and provide a fast, hassle-free workflow. The Canon Sumire Primes performed fantastically between T2.0 and T2.8 with great balance between gentle contrast and resolution. We noticed that they offer a superb amount of detail without ever being too sharp. Colours were rendered in a very organic, painterly way which resulted in fantastic skin tones.” Sea_Dragon Website Reproduced with kind permission of Canon (UK).
